Hello, I am Jing Bird, your new pastry chef in Lichfield. I have been a pastry chef since 1999 having qualified at University College Birmingham with a HND Professional Culinary Art, NVQ in Patisserie and Confectionary, NEFE in Cake Decoration and Sugar Craft, amongst other specialist qualification as a chocolatier.
During the time in this profession, Ihave received Bronze Awards for celebration Cakes and Sugar Craft at the Annual International Competition held at the NEC Birmingham and further, Bronze Awards won at Hotel Olympia Show , London, for the same category.
During my career I have been employed by both medium and high end establishments and hotels to include, the International Convention centre (ICC), Grand Marrriott hotel and Silversea Cruises (a high end international cruise liner Company).
In 2016 I started Real Desserts operating from a small unit in Rugeley developing and supplying my customer base desserts and cakes with great success. Have seen a steady growth in the business to take further development , I am opening my patisserie shop in Lichfield, Bloom Cakery Co., as a seasonal and celebration cake specialist.
